Complexity Rating:
Katsu - 4
Riptide - 4

This Fight Deck is perfect for new players who want slightly more complicated heroes. Both Katsu and Riptide are easy to pilot but require a little more planning and setup compared to the Dorinthea vs Dash Fight Deck.

Katsu, the original ninja from Welcome to Rathe, is arguably one of the more complex of the ninjas to play (though he is still fairly easy to pick up and understand). This is due to his focus on the combo mechanic, a mechanic that rewards you for playing cards with specific names in the correct order. Katsu specializes in chaining together long combo lines with beneficial on-hit abilities to tax the opponent’s ability to block efficiently and overwhelm the opponent with a flurry of blows.

Riptide is a trap-based ranger, who encourages his players to utilize the wide variety of disruptive traps available to him to whittle down the opponent and dampen their offensive capabilities while he shoots arrow after arrow from his arsenal out of nowhere. He is adept at punishing the opponent for poor planning; he bestows myriad on-hit abilities onto his arrows during his turn, all while setting up for the next turn cycle to do it all over again.
